FITZROY LEE

FITZROY emerged on the reggae music scene in the mid 90’s regularly MC’ing on the ‘Ghetto Rock’ soundsystem in West Negril Jamaica.

His raw lyrical wordsmithing gained the respect of acclaimed reggae artist Lisa Dainjah who he collaborated with on his debut EP ‘Ratoon’ at Bust Out studio in Kingston.

Since moving to Australia in 2007 Fitzroy has been sharing his culture and love of reggae on his popular radio show ‘Reggae Mixtape’ from the 2NVR radio station based on the Mid-North Coast and toured extensively with his original reggae band 'Drama King.'

Since going solo Fitzroy has released two albums and has been a crowd favourite at various Australian music events and festivals including Bello Roots Festival, Storyland Music Festival, Dubztotica and Cooly Roots to name a few.

Fitzroy is a versatile artist that has a unique style of storytelling through his original music as well as the ability to freestyle as an MC with passion and conviction on the fly.

Fitzroy’s new album ‘Naked Soul’ is a celebration of the strength of the human spirit.

The songs are powerful anthems that call for equal rights and justice to prevail over corruption and fear. He hopes that the album uplifts peoples’ spirits so that everyone can come together to celebrate love and joy and send out a message of hope and unity.
