Monkey Marc Mic Drop - Legendary Producer joins JMFF line up
Monkey Marc is hot me, hot me, hot, hot this year. That's probably why JMFF celebrations are beyond the pale today, announcing his micdrop-worthy addition to our line up, which already includes Mad Professor, Richie Stephens and Masia One.
With him on stage, the deadly versatility of MC Rider Shafique (UK) and charismatic Traphall rapper Fyah Roiall (Jamaica).
Global reggae and dancehall producer, Monkey Marc - yes, that's his work featuring Sizzla, Capleton and Fantan Mojah below - is so hot, he's on fire and fans are in for treat to see him in action, with an unautomated live set.
Like JMFF, Monkey Marc is a fiercely independent product of Australia and shares our huge respect for small island Jamaica's massive influence. His set on the Main Stage will know doubt span a huge history of riddem-making plus tracks from his new album featuring collaborations with top artists from Richie Spice, and Ninjaman.
Warning: Monkey Marc performances might incite dancing and climate change activism.
His live shows - Monkey has taken his solar-powered sound system to the remotest desert areas, taking his conscious message about the state of our planet to Australians everywhere - are infamous, traversing new beats with homage to the past.
Along with Rider Shafique and Fyah Roiall, this set is bound to be one of crowning glory, laced with Dancehall killers that incite dancing.
